TYSONDOG SIGN WITH ROCKSECTOR RECORDS FOR THE RELEASE OF BRAND NEW ALBUM 'CRY HAVOC' 25 JULY 2014
As revealed during the press conference at SOS Festival on 20th July, NWOBHM heroes Tysondog have joined Rocksector Records for the release of 'Cry Havoc', an album of brand new songs.
Back in 1984 the likes of Malcolm Dome, Geoff Barton & Dante Bonutto were tipping Tysondog for major success, emerging at that time from the force that had become known as the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal.
One way or another, the fates conspired to deprive Tysondog of the international fame that so many thought they were destined for and in time the band disappeared from the limelight.
Nevertheless, Tysondog's rich history was not forgotten & having re-started their engines, have gradually worked their way back with a new perspective on life and the band is happy to see that people are taking notice.
Only recently when the news broke that the band was joining Rocksector Records during SOS Festival, the power, precision and impact of their live performance at the same event won many new fans/friends.
That's typical of the response this band is receiving.
For more information on the history of Tysondog there's a very informative piece written by Malcolm Dome at the band's website at
'Cry Havoc' is provisionally set for a release early in 2015.

Earlier in the there was a special announcement that Tysondog had signed to Rocksector Records so the gig tonight was going to be a great celebration. Back in the 80s – and when NWOBHM was king – these guys were so close to going massive but unfortunately missed out. But now – due to the upsurge of interest in 80′s metal – they are out there again and rocking with the best.
Their set tonight kicked off with ‘Taste The Hate’ and ‘Don’t Let The Bastards Grind You Down’ both off their 1986 release ‘Crimes of Insanity’ and are sounding as fresh as ever. The fact that the whole set tonight came from their two 80′s albums shows how much they believe in the music and want to keep the NWOBHM flag flying.
Newcomer to the band Steve Morrison (Guitars) not only had to learn the old stuff but also the new album ‘Cry Havoc’ which is all ready with an anticipated release date of next year.
Tysondog are a English heavy metal band formed in Newcastle, in the year 1983 during the NWOBHM boom. They quickly signed to Neat Records and issued their debut single 'Eat the Rich' that same year. 1984 saw their first full-length, 'Beware of the Dog,' which was produced by none other than Cronos of Venom. Cronos even perfomed backing vocals on the track "Demon" (listen for him in the chorus). An EP, 'Shoot to Kill' was released in 1985, and was followed the next year by the 'Crimes of Insanity' LP, which, along with the single and Alice Cooper cover 'School's Out,' Thrash metal had come to dominate the metal underground, and Tysondog with Castle released 'Painted Heroes' in 2002, a collection of both full-length albums and the 'Shoot to Kill' EP.
